This time period is accompanied by the obligatory presence of the sun in the sky with a pronounced blue hue. During this period, there is maximum illumination of the entire surface of the map, including each block. The highest illumination index in the game is 15. Also daytime is characterized by the emission of light, which contributes to the generation of grass and trees. Daylight is destructive to skeletons and zombies. Direct light on these mobs, if they are not protected by shadows or a helmet or are not located in water, ends in their combustion and death. Sunset

The day ends with sunset, which in the game lasts exactly 90 seconds or one and a half minutes. This period is marked by the moon rising in the sky from the east, while the sun gives way to it and sets behind the western horizon line. During this interval, the luminosity of each block on the surface in the game decreases by 1 value. The sky turns first orange and then red. Another characteristic feature of the night is the appearance of a large number of hostile mobs in the vicinity. The sky is studded with stars, which surround the moon. The properties of the moon are close to the real one. It can also be in one of 8 possible phases in the game.

Rising

The final time period of the game’s day lasts also 90 seconds or one and a half minutes. The period is accompanied by the rising of the Sun from the eastern horizon and the setting of the Moon in the opposite direction. The illumination of the blocks at an interval of 10 seconds increases by 1 level. The sky takes on a red color first, and then an orange hue. Such a phenomenon as sunrise determines the phase change of the moon.
